There is no doubt that Apple makes some outstanding hardware – the iMac, the iPod, the iPad and the iPhone amongst others. But the real reason for Apple’s success has been an early realisation that the hardware it created needed a complete Ecosystem to give its hardware an unmatched advantage. Apart from the fact that Apple created its own software for its computers and other devises, it initiated iTunes and the App store to offer its users a complete system to get the maximum benefits out of its products.
